Creating an Organization and Building

When you first join the Sensgreen Smart Building Platform, you can seamlessly create your organization and even your first building during the signup process. Here's how it works:

  1. Sign Up: To get started, sign up for a Sensgreen account. During this process, you'll be prompted to provide essential information, including your organization's name and the name of your first building.

  2. Add Location: You can also indicate the address and coordinates of your building by simply showing it on the map provided during signup. This helps in accurately pinpointing your building's location within the platform.

  3. Complete Signup: Once you've filled in these details and completed the signup process, your organization and building are created instantly.


Adding Users to Your Organization and Building

Collaboration is vital when managing your smart buildings effectively. Sensgreen offers user management features that allow Organization Admins and Building Admins to add new users with varying roles and permissions. Here's how it's done:

Adding a New User by Their Email Address

  • Admin Access: Make sure you're logged into your admin account as either an Organization Admin or Building Admin.

  • Access User Management: From your dashboard, navigate to the "User Management" page in the system which located below "Managament".

  • Invite New Users: On the "User Management" page, click on the "+ New User" option.

  • Enter Email Addresses: Enter the email addresses of the users you wish to invite to your organization or building.

  • Email Invitations: The system generates an email containing a registration link for each invited user and sends it to the specified email addresses.

  • User Registration: Invited users receive the email and click on the registration link. This link redirects them to the registration page.

  • Select Access: Users select the buildings they want to access from the options provided by the Admin.

  • Complete Registration: Users enter their name, surname, and define a password, then submit the registration form.

  • Successful Registration: The system registers the user with the specified organization and building permissions.

With this streamlined process, you can easily onboard new users to your organization and buildings.


User Roles and Permissions

Sensgreen offers three distinct user roles to ensure efficient access control and management:

  1. Organization Admin: Organization Admins have full control over the entire organization and all its buildings. They can invite users, manage user roles and permissions, and customize organization settings.

  2. Building Admin: Building Admins have administrative control over specific buildings within the organization. They can invite users to their buildings, manage user roles and permissions for those buildings, and oversee building-specific settings.

  3. Building User: Building Users can access the buildings they've been granted permission to. They can view data, set up automation and alerts based on their permissions, and contribute to the management of specific buildings.

By following these user management procedures, you can efficiently control access and permissions within your organization and buildings.
